  1. My 8th grade GT student recenly came home and asked me to find 10 things that are made in the USA. In the living room and kitchen it was very tough - almost impossible. In my bedroom on the other hand, easy-peasy. ZIPPO, Most of my AMMO, some knives, Oakley Sunglasses. Most of my weapons. Then in the garage even more american made items. So maybe there is some hope? The way I see it - alot the things that matter, are all built in the USA. Nice blog BTW.

    Keep up the good work

    Take care,

  2. You need to add Starrett to your list. I still pay extra for made in America. You can feel the difference in their micrometers as well as other fine tools. Where I work, they buy Mititoya, and you can definitely tell the difference in feel and quality.Nice blog by the way.

  3. In Gabriel Garcia Marquez 1962 novel In Evil Hour, he has 2 villagers drafted into the police force to stop libels being posted on citizen's doors. One looks at his carbine and aske the ohter "what kind did you get?" "It's a Madeinusa" is the reply.

  4. I meant to give you this a while back:

    containerstuffers.com

Allows for faster stacking and palleting of cargo container items, weighs, balances, prints a weight ticket and shoves it all inside.

My niece's husband invented it. Tell me what you think!
